Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Money Map app for iPhone and Apple Watch (the “App”) and this website (together, the “Service”), provided by Duminda Kodagoda (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where it conflicts with these terms, these terms prevail to the extent allowed.

2. Not financial advice

Money Map is a personal record-keeping tool. Budgets, forecasts, reports, exchange rates, fixed-deposit rates and share prices are provided for information only, may be delayed or inaccurate, and are not financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Make financial decisions with your own judgement and, where appropriate, a qualified professional.

3. Your data

You own the data you enter. It is stored on your device as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping backups; we cannot recover data that is lost when a device is lost, reset or the App is deleted.

4. Third-party services

Optional features rely on services provided by others — including Apple (Sign in with Apple, iCloud, Siri), Google (Google Sign-In, Google Drive) and public rate and price providers. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or accuracy.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service: do not reverse-engineer it except as allowed by law, interfere with its operation, or use it for anything unlawful.

6. Changes and availability

We may update, change or discontinue features at any time. We may update these terms; the date above shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.

7. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of calculations or data.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or savings, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App, if any.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
